‘Bridge into the air’ gives me the exact feeling when you look up into the sky and there is no end to the blue colour. You feel a miniscule part of a much bigger organized web of threads. ‘Pont de Normandie’ is famous for giving you this feeling as well. As if you are driving into the clouds.

During my stay in Toronto last year I saw a lot of beautiful graffiti. It was in China town, where it smelled a lot like fish. This was exactly my experience of Toronto in that moment. That is what I wanted to portray.
The Brooklyn bridge is an ashtonishing bridge, I always have to look up to all the wire when I see this majestic work of architecture. It is as if the threads between the wires protect the pedestrian from the air blowing from the sides. It fors a glass window. I wanted to show the bridge as if it has leaded glass.
I lived in NYC nearby the Williamsburg bridge, it was always a joy to have a walk there. A lot of Orthodox Jews live across the bridge. I was always amazed by the contrast of their black clothing and the glancing red of the bridge. Every move on the bridge I wanted to capture by attaching flowers to them.
